I hit 1,300 posts in December, 2010,  1,500 posts in January, 2011 and 1,900 posts on April 25.  Today, I eclipsed 2,000 total posts.

These 2,000 posts consist of 727,626 Words with an average of 364 words per post.

Just to give you an idea, Atlas Shrugged has 540,000 words and War and Peace has 460,000 words.

Granted, many of those words in my posts are blockquotes copying from court opinions and law review articles, but that’s still pretty cool.

Here’s to another 2,000 posts.

I’ll let you know when I hit 1,000,000 words.

 

Another wonderful milestone at my blog. Thank you to everyone for reading all of my posts (all 1,980 of them).

It took about a year to hit 155,000 visitors (from September 27, 2009 to September 2010).

From there, it took another 6 months to hit 250,000 visitors (from September 2010 to April 2011).

Now, it only took about a month to hit 300,000 visitors (from April 2011 to May 2011).

The population of Cincinnati is 297,000. I got that!

I’m not very good at math, but even I can tell that my rate is growing! Let’s see what I can get by August 13, 2011, my 27th Birthday!

I should hit 2,000 posts in the next week or two. I am very excited for that milestone.

And about 280,000 total hits. Gearing up on 2,000 posts and 300,000 hits. I should hit that by June. Not bad for 18 months of blogging.

Well, now it’s about 257,029 visitors, so I crossed the quarter-million visitor threshold at some point last week. Anyway, many thanks to the 250,000 strong people who have made this blog such a success.

I mean, 250,000 people. Hell, Trenton, NJ has a population of 268,000. I’m almost as popular as Trenton! Right? No? Anyway, thank you all for visiting my site.

My humble blog has reached another milestone. I just posted my 1,500th post. I launched this blog on September 29, 2009 with this post: Oyez, Oyez, Oyez! JoshBlogs.WordPress.com Is Live! For those of you who are long-time fans, originally I blogged at joshblogs.wordpress.com, and only moved to JoshBlackman.com on November 24, 2009. I hit 1,000 posts on July 21, 2010 and 1,500 posts today, on January 19, 2011. That is 1,500 posts in a little over 15 months. That is, on average, 100 posts a month. I wrote a total of 528,835 words (for a previous break down see this post). This blog is one of my proudest accomplishments.
