Hoverboards, Gray’s Sports Almanac, and Back to the Future at Harry Caray’s in Chicago

October 16th, 2015

Harry Caray’s, a Chicago landmark restaurant named after the long-time Cubs announce, is hosting a shrine to Back to the Future. There is a pink Matel Hoverboard, as well as one of the Hoverboards used by Biff’s friends. There is also a copy of Gray’s Sports Almanac, along with a betting ticket (placed by the owner) that the Cubbies would win the World Series. He indeed “put some money on the cubbies.” While in the movie the odds were 100:1, at Mandalay Bay the odds were about 5:1. In case you are living under a rock, you should know that in Back to the Future Part II, a Hologram predicted the Cubs would beat the Miami Dragons in the 2015 World Series. There is now a Miami team, but they are the Marlins. And the Cubbies are still in the playoffs. The exhibit was pretty cool.’
