Supreme Court’s Abdication of Second Amendment Continues. Cert Denied in NYC Gun Licensing Fee Case Denied

June 2nd, 2014

The Supreme Court’s abdication of the Second Amendment rolls on, as the high court turned down yet another petition concerning the right to keep and bear arms.  Kwong v. De Blasio,  challenges a New York City law that charges $340 for a three-year handgun license. Everywhere else in New York State the fee is $10.

Without comment, the Court denied review.

I have an article in the July issue of the American Spectator, listing each and every cert denial in this area, wherein I call the Court to task for letting this constitutional right wither on the vine. Stay tuned.
