Sign Petition To Stop Aspen Publishers From Banning Resale of Textbooks

May 6th, 2014

I previously blogged about a ridiculous policy by Aspen Publishers that will *require* students to return their textbooks at the end of the semester. The clear import of this policy is to eliminate the resale market for textbooks to drive up costs. As a property professor, I find this attempt to regulate the use of textbooks a poor decision that should be reversed. For more details, see James Grimmelman’s explanatory post.

If you agree, please consider signing this petition on Change.org to oppose this change. If enough Professors decline to use this textbook, I suspect Aspen will change their policy very, very quickly.
