Congratulations to Randy Barnett on Winning the Bradley Prize

May 6th, 2014

Kudos to my dear friend and mentor Randy Barnett on receiving this well-deserved prize for “vigorous and fearless advocacy of the Constitution.” Here is the press release:

Randy E. Barnett, the Carmack Waterhouse Professor of Legal Theory at Georgetown University Law Center, is one of four recipients of the 2014 Bradley Prize. The honor recognizes individuals of extraordinary talent and dedication who have made contributions in areas consistent with the mission of the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation.

The award will be presented to Barnett during the 11th annual Bradley Prizes ceremony at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on June 18.  Each award carries a stipend of $250,000.

“Randy Barnett’s vigorous and fearless advocacy of the Constitution is essential to preserving freedom,” said Michael W. Grebe, President and CEO of the Bradley Foundation in a statement.  “As a professor and an attorney, Randy Barnett is a key defender of the rule of law.”

“I am deeply honored. Having attended past awards ceremonies at the Kennedy Center, I know I am in very distinguished company,” said Barnett.

Congratulations Randy!
