How will Republicans “burn 30 hours of debate time for each nominee”?

December 8th, 2013

Now that the filibuster is gone for judicial nominees, one of the few recourses is that the minority party can insist on up to thirty hours of debate for each nominee. So, for the three D.C. Circuit nominees, that would be 90 hours, spread across maybe 4 or 5 days? That could burn an entire legislative week. I expect Ted Cruz will get plenty of floor time during these sessions.
