I had a dream about the delay in Fisher v. Texas

June 8th, 2013

This is a good one. For some reason, I was having lunch with Vinny Guadagnino from Jersey Shore, who had been appointed to the Supreme Court. I asked him about the Fisher case. He said that after conference, the vote had been 8-0 (not sure about the recusal), and Roberts gave him the opinion But at some point the vote flipped, and then Kennedy gave him the opinion to write for the Court. Then I asked him what kind of hours he is working at the Court. He replied he works from 8 a.m. till midnight. I thought to myself, he must be younger than all of his clerks, and I questioned how it was that I didn’t remember his confirmation hearing.

So that explains the delay, right?
