Impressive numbers!

“My Beloved World” (Knopf), a memoir by current Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, is No. 2 on the latest list, which will be published in the Outlook section on Sunday, March 17.

“Out of Order: Stories from the History of the Supreme Court” (Random House), by retired justice Sandra Day O’Connor, is at No. 4.

Both authors have drawn huge crowds at their recent book readings in Washington. When Politics & Prose Bookstore announced an appearance by O’Connor at the Sixth & I Synagogue on March 18, all 850 tickets sold out within 30 hours. Earlier this year, the store sold 1,5000 tickets to hear Sotomayor at George Washington University.
