Many thanks to Adam Candeub, Dan Katz, and Renee Knake who hosted me at MSU to give a talk about Assisted Decision Making.

So This Is What Obama’s Broccoli Mandate Looks Like…

November 6th, 2012

In other news, Mr. Burns endorsed Mitt Romney.

Did Justice O’Connor endorse California Proposition 34 To Reform The Death Penalty?

November 5th, 2012

This advertisement, posted on Yes on 34’s Facebook page suggests Justice O’Connor is behind this Proposition.

Though the quoted is attributed to a comment O’Connor made in 2001, totally unrelated to Prop 34. I could not find any statement the Justice made that would suggest she supports this proposition.

In the past, Justice O’Connor’s voice has been used improperly no robocalls in Arizona supporting a judicial ethics proposition. I wonder what her reaction will be to this advertisement?

South Park Calls It For Obama

November 5th, 2012

Wednesday’s episode of South Park is titled “Obama Wins.”

NEW YORK, November 5, 2012 – The presidental election isn’t over until you watch this all-new episode of “South Park” titled “Obama Wins!” premiering Wednesday, November 7 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.

Cartman is hiding something in his bedroom that could change the outcome of the entire election. While Americans innocently plan to go to sleep Tuesday night with the election results counted and a winner announced, Cartman has secretly wrestled control of the presidental election from the voters.

In 2008, the Producers called the election for Obama days before, and created an episode around it. Will South Park be right again?

Video: Presentation of “Unprecedented” at Loyola Chicago Law School Constitutional Law Colloquium

November 5th, 2012

My many thanks to the organizers of this great colloquium–Alexander Tsesis, John Nowak, Juan Perea, and Mike Zimmer–and to my fellow panelists–Nicole Huberfield, John Valauri, Laura Cisneros. I received some great questions, and learned quite a bit.
