Constitutional Places: At Stanford Law School

November 14th, 2012

Whoever was Director of Admissions at Stanford Law School in 1949  should receive some kind of medal for admitting both William Rehnquist and Sandra Day O’Connor to the class of 1952.

Here is a photograph I took at Stanford of the Stanford Law Review editorial board in 1952, including a young Rehnquist and O’Connor.

Rehnquist is on the back row far left. O’Connor is in the front row, second from the left.

Rehnquist graduated first in the class, and O’Connor was third. Who was #2 in ’52? That tidbit has been lost to the sands of time.

Right outside the law school there is a Rehnquist Courtyard.
