I make it a point not to watch any of the speeches at the convention. It is an utter waste of time. Rather, I wait for the transcripts and summaries of the speeches to be posted after the evening is over. This post from TPM plucks out all the quotes from speeches about the ACA.

The takeaway–before the Supreme Court’s opinion, many Democrats were running away from the ACA, and trying to minimize it. Now, in the words of Secretary Sebelius, the eponymous Respondent in the Supreme Court’s decision, “Obamacare is a badge of honor.”

“For us Democrats, Obamacare is a badge of honor,” said Kathleen Sebelius, secretary of Health and Human Services. “No matter who you are, what stage of life you’re in, this law is a good thing.”

It is fascinating how they embrace the once-pejorative term Obamacare.

I saw one tweet that Chief Justice Roberts received a standing ovation at the DNC. I’d believe it.
