So what will I be doing in 12 hours when the ACA Case is announced?

June 27th, 2012

I will be on a plane, going to London, to speak at LawTech Camp on FantasySCOTUS.

Well my plane is scheduled to take off from O’Hare at 10:12 a.m. Assuming I can keep my phone on till the bitter end, I should be able to download at least some of the opinions. Though, if the Chief is announcing it, and Thomas gets the RESPA case and Kennedy gets the Stolen Valor Act case, the Chief is last. It may not get to me by 10:12. Yesterday the flight was delayed by 40 minutes, and did not take off till 10:40 a.m. That should be enough time to get the opinion. Let’s hope for a delay!

Figures, I spent all this time following every aspect of this case, and when it comes out, I won’t even know about it till 8 hours later. And I’ll find out in the country that spawned the Tea Party. Oh the irony!

And yes, when I planned this trip, I knew SCOTUS may hand down the opinion this day. The only other flight was a Red Eye that would have gotten me to Heathrow at 6 am. I am presenting at noon. I did not think it was prudent to do that.

Anyway, this blog will be silent tomorrow.
