Constitutional Faces: Slaves Freed by the 13th Amendment, in the 1930s

Lest we forget that the 13th Amendment is the only provision of the Constitution that directly acts on people–this Amendment freed the slaves. Retronaut has a montage of photographs of freed-slaves in the 1930s (all of them in their 80s or 90s).
