What does it mean for the mother of a victim (of what is an absolutely attrocious miscarraige of justice) to “get justice”
“It’s justice in the sense that he is going to pay for what we’ve been dealing with for the last eight years,” Sandy Fonzo told CNN’s Don Lemon.
“True justice I don’t think there could ever be. He’ll never live the sentence that I’ll live with for the rest of my life — can’t bring my son back,” she said.
Her son committed suicide. The mother blames the judge for the death of her son.
So she got justice, but not true justice. Criminal law was always difficult for me. I am not a vengeful person. I don’t seek retribution, even of those who hurt me. I don’t know what it means to get justice.
