Anthony Juror #3: “Do I think she’s completely innocent? I have no idea… not guilty doesn’t mean innocent.”

July 7th, 2011

For those who think the justice system is broken, and, as Dave Barry joked, “the Sixth Amendment states that if you are accused of a crime, you have the right to a trial before a jury of people too stupid to get out of jury duty,” this single quote from Juror #3 on the Anthony trial gives me hope.

This is a precise, accurate statement of the law. Not guilty does not mean innocent.
