High Court Halftime: The October 2010 Term At Midpoint

February 10th, 2011

The half-way point of the Supreme Court term is always bittersweet. On the down side, even though almost all of the cases have been argued, we only get about 10 opinions or so, and they are mostly insignificant. But on the plus side, in the next 4 months we will get an onslaught of constitutional delight!

I encourage everyone to check out the High Court Halftime: The October 2010 Term At Midpoint event at the Washington Legal Foundation on Wednesday, February 16 from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.. There will be a nice recap of the cases decided, and what is coming down the pike. Here are the deets:

  • The Honorable Dick Thornburgh – K&L Gates, Former Governor Of Pennsylvania
  • Thomas C. Goldstein – Goldstein Howe & Russell
  • Gene C. Schaerr – Winston & Strawn LLP
  • Mark A. Perry – Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP

The hour-long discussion will be held at Washington Legal Foundation’s M.J. Murdock Center for Free Enterprise (2009 Massachusetts Ave., NW – Dupont Circle).

Check it out.
