I just had the honor of swearing in, and Judge Gibson accepted my application for admission to this august bar.
The oath I swore, read:
I, Josh Blackman, do solemnly swear that as an attorney and as a counselor of this court I will conduct myself uprightly and according to law, and that I will support the Constitution of the United States.
So help me God. And, while I recited the line about the Constitution, I pulled my pocket Constitution out of my breast pocket, and held it high. Make no mistake, I always support the Constitution 😉
And I have already started the countdown until October 16, 2012, when I am eligble to swear into the bar of the United States Supreme Court. Only 972 days to go!
