So is Lyle a reporter or a pundit?

“It’s a conservative court acting in an energetic, muscular, creating way,” he said. “But they all make an effort to be public servants. This is a court whose work comes in the front door and out the front door and must justify itself on the public record. It does a handsome job with that.”

Based on this speech, he would seem like the former, though based on his writings, and his SCOTUSBlog profile, he is a reporter.I have no problem with Lyle having an opinion, but I do tend to read reporters and pundits differently. The latter, I am more skeptical of.
