I have blogged about the asininity of banning cell phone use before takeoff. It makes no sense. The use of electronics after takeoff, but before reaching a certain altitude also makes no sense. It seems that Arianna Huffington blew off these rules and continued to use her blackberry midflight. Good for her!

Senator Schumer previously balked at the silly rule that prevents the use of phones before takeoff. I was proud that the Senior Senator from my former home state of New York agrees with me. I’m also quite proud of Huffington, with whom I seldom agree.
