I’ve written at great length about how the City of Houston has no formal zoning code–though it has a strong methods of doing so informally. Today, as I was driving down Dallas Street towards the downtown area, I was struck by what no zoning looks like. I apologize for the click bait, but this it. Less thanĀ a mile from skyscrapers are abandoned lots and residential houses.
The towers emerge once you cross the highway.
