Last week, the D.C. Circuit upheld the Obama Administrations latest position on the contraception mandate–both for-profit and non-profit corporations alike need only notify the government of their objections. The plaintiffs in that case, Priest for Life, have announced they will openly violate the law, and hope the Supreme Court answers their prayers for relief.

The Rev. Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, says the group won’t follow the ruling, according to the Washington Times and Law Blog. “Part of this defiance will be to appeal the court’s ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court,” Pavone said.

Leading up to the Court’s decision in Hobby Lobby, the nationwide craft store said they would not comply with a ruling against them. It was unclear if they would shutter their business, but they could not remain a going concern with millions of dollars of fines a day.

If the Court does rule against the Priests, the Administration will be in a tough spot–would they fine the priests out of existence?
