Seaside Heights: Before and After Hurricane Sandy

These photos from the UK Mail are gut-wrenching.

Iconic: The rollercoaster prior to Sandy, it was publicised by the MTV reality show Jersey Shore

After the storm: The iconic Jersey Shore boardwalk is bent and twister, with parts totally destroyed, while the tar Jet rollercoaster is hanging into the Atlantic ocean

After the storm: The iconic Jersey Shore boardwalk is bent and twister, with parts totally destroyed, while the tar Jet rollercoaster is hanging into the Atlantic oceanLively: The aftermath is a far cry from the usual appearance of the famous beach strip

Fire: Some buildings on Seaside Heights were set ablaze as a result of the Hurricane

Snooki’s sentiments are apt.

Fortunately, I have documented the Jersey Shore house during the summer of 2011 for posterity’s sake. We will always have the memories.

I grew up in NJ and it and Seaside Heights was a privilege and honor, and along comes “Snookey” from NY no less…pretending to be a “NJ” girl which is PATHETIC!! I’m sorry, but New Yorkers “pretending” to be from Jersey is sad but true. NY is supposed to so awesome, you ever wonder WHY NY Jet and NY Giants PLAY in NJ??? No one knows but seriously, we have a bad name due to NYorkers…they litter on our shores, take our teams and blame filth on us… go figure. Then comes “Snookey”, does she have a brain??? She is comparable to the CA blonde, but at least only their boobs are fake… she has a baby…so scary! Says its all pretend, but do you believe that?? I sure do not……
